My name is Jared Maltba. I grew up in Connelly Springs, North Carolina and demonstrated a profound interest in the piano when I was very young. I began taking piano lessons when I was 9 years old. I also played percussion in middle and high school and took 2 years of pipe organ lessons in high school. Upon graduating from high school, I served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 2013 to 2015 in Ukraine and Mesa, Arizona. I came to Utah in 2016 to study Communication Disorders at Brigham Young University with the aim to become a Speech-Language Pathologist. As a freshman at BYU, I began learning to tune pianos as a side job and loved the work. After graduating from BYU with my undergraduate degree in April 2020, I decided to shift my focus from speech pathology to piano technology. I am consistently striving to deepen my knowledge of the trade and build my skills as a technician. I love servicing pianos and transforming them into something that brings joy and closeness to families.

I found my wife in 2017. She’s the very best! Shortly after getting married, we started building our family. We now have 3 precious children.
